The Bible for Life ministry has arisen out of this pioneering work.
The interactive, multi-media sessions last 90 minutes. Each one focuses
on a book of the Bible and is constructed around three leading
perspectives;
1) The Context: what were the defining
contexts of
the author and
recipients when the letter/book
was written?
2) The Main purposes of the
“book”: What
main point, or points,
was the
author intending to
communicate?
3) The Main Applications: What is the
main, leading
application(s) of the whole book?
The 90 minute presentation divides into two parts.
The first is a talk and visual presentation of the Bible book. The main medium is a power point presentation which follows the outline on a summary handout.
The second part involves inter-reaction with the book and open discussion about the content and application. This involves considering contemporary issues and situations, before an open discussion and question and answer forum.
The Bible for Life session ends with a short summary.
Nick has completed presentations for over twenty books of the Bible, including the majority of the New Testament.
I have held these presentations across a range of venues; from private homes to Churches, and from function rooms in Pubs to Bristol Cathedral.
